Tonight’s the night, Donnie Maroot

Tonight is the big night.

This evening, Wednesday 5th March, at 8.30pm, Donald MacLeod, Scottish Friendly’s Head of Actuarial – also known as Donnie Maroot – will be attempting to break the world record for most jokes told in an hour.

We’ve been building up to this for over a week now and are all behind Donald. He’s done his training, he knows what he’s got to beat, and he’s got his awful jokes primed and ready.

The action takes place in the Park Bar, Glasgow, so if you’re in the area, why not come along to support him.

As mentioned previously, all proceeds will be split between four charities based in the Western Isles (Bethesda Care Home in Stornoway, Harris House in Tarbert, Tagsa Uibhist in Benbecula and Cobhair Bharraigh in Castlebay). Scottish Friendly are sponsoring the event and you can make donations on Donald’s Just Giving page here.

Good luck Donald. Everyone at Scottish Friendly is behind you.
