Proud as punch

In October 2014, The Arts & Business Scotland Awards will be celebrating the best examples of business partnerships and sponsorships with cultural organisations in Scotland.

At Scottish Friendly we are proud to be shortlisted for the ‘People Award’ alongside the Scottish Book Trust for the Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour.

Since 1998, Scottish Friendly have been involved in supporting reading and literacy in remote and disadvantaged areas in Scotland through its sponsorship of the Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour, an outreach tour organised by the Scottish Book Trust.

With the tour now venturing both north and south of the border helping to encourage children’s love of literature through inspirational author visits, which bring their books to life, it continues to grow from strength to strength.

So as we rest our voices from the cheers of the Commonwealth, we hope to be raising them once more at the Arts & Business Scotland Awards ceremony in October.
