A magnificent day for Super Mignolet!

Hello! It’s me, Bob Friendly with news of the weekend’s goalkeeping good times and goofs! I thoroughly enjoyed watching Spurs and their Super keeper, Lloris. The Tottenham star has a tally of 12 clean sheets and could clinch the top spot from Courtois if he keeps up his current form!

The Watford keeper, Gomes, on the other hand, had a miserable day in the office, conceding four against a ruthless Tottenham side. Watford are heading towards a respectable mid-table finish with Spurs keeping up the pressure on leaders Chelsea.

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet was fantastic in between the sticks against Stoke on Saturday, demonstrating all the attributes of a top SuperSaver! The two point blank saves to deny Charlie Adam and Saido Berahino were terrific! Throughout the game, he was denying Stoke and he was arguably the best player on the pitch, it really was a man of the match display from the Belgian international.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City took the three points against Hull, with a dominating performance. Claudio Bravo came into the starting line-up in the Premier League for the first time in a while. Whilst he didn’t get a clean sheet, he looked comfortable throughout the game, and his distribution was particularly good.

Tom Heaton ensured Burnley left the North East with a point in a hard-fought battle with Middlesbrough. His save to deny Álvaro Negredo was stunning, and something any keeper would be proud of!

Heaton was the hero for the Clarets and will be delighted upon preserving a clean sheet!

Folks, I don’t know about you but I’m already itching for more Premier League action! Will Courtois keep the most clean sheets this season? Will Eldin Jakupović help Hull avoid relegation? Who will be our weekends SuperSaver? Stay tuned, folks!
