i Your Term Assurance Plan i Things you should consider
  • Pay a regular amount each month so you can provide a cash lump sum to help ensure your dependents are financially provided for if, during the term of the policy:
  • you die, or
  • you are diagnosed with a terminal illness with life expectancy of less than 12 months prior to the last 18 months of the policy term.
  • The maximum level of cover is £200,000.
  • Choose the length of time you wish the cover to last. After the insurance starts, the premium and length of time is fixed.
  • You must be a UK resident aged between 18 and 69 to apply.
  • You must provide us with all relevant information, including medical details, to the best of your knowledge and belief. If you don’t do this, we might not pay out.
  • You must tell us if there is any change to your personal health, family history, occupation, participation in any hazardous leisure activities, travel or residence before the date we have agreed the terms for your cover. If you don’t do this, we might not pay out.
  • The policy has no cash-in value at any time, and if the benefit amount has not been paid out by the end of the selected term, the policy will end and you’ll get nothing back.
  • Also, if you don’t pay your premiums on time your cover will stop, your benefit will end and you’ll get nothing back.
  • Remember inflation may reduce what may be purchased from any payout.
  • As the lump sum is paid to your estate, there could be an inheritance tax charge (if your estate is large enough).
