Children’s Laurate Chris Riddell joins the Scottish Friendly Children’s book tour

The Scottish Friendly Children’s book tour rolls on again this coming week. From the 10th of September, award-winning children’s illustrator, author and current Children’s Laureate, Chris Riddell will be visiting schools in Scotland.

In his role as Children’s Laureate, Chris has been tasked with promoting children’s literature and inspiring children to read. His distinctive illustrations have won wide acclaim and we’ve been lucky enough to receive one in honour of the upcoming tour which we are delighted to be able to share with you.

The tour this September will visit over 2300 pupils from Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire, Stirling, Perth and Kinross and Glasgow. The events will focus on the importance of illustration, creativity and imagination. He will introduce his laureateship and share pictures from his laureate log before taking questions from the audience and illustrating their answers.

Keep an eye on our Facebook wall as we’ll be posting more on the tour over the coming weeks.
