In 2018, Scottish Friendly is celebrating 20 years of the Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour with the Scottish Book Trust. From 1998-2018 the tour has taken over 100 authors and illustrators to meet 100,000 children across Scotland, England and Northern Ireland. This June, Scottish Book Trust are taking the award-winning Scottish author, Chae Strathie back on the road. Chae first toured with the Children’s Book Tour in 2014 on an epic road trip all the way to Brighton! This time around he will be visiting schools in Bradford, in partnership with the brilliant Bradford Literature Festival.

To celebrate Chae’s tour, we are giving away a free copy his latest picture book Mack and the Missing Cheese, illustrated by Nikki Dyson. This hilarious detective adventure features Mack the detective cat and his assistant, Squeak, who together must solve the mystery of the missing cheese!
