Competition Time with Andy Stanton

In 2018, Scottish Friendly is celebrating 20 years of the Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour with the Scottish Book Trust. From 1998-2018 the tour has taken over 100 authors and illustrators to meet 100,000 children across Scotland, England and Northern Ireland. This September, Scottish Book Trust are taking the award-winning author of the Mr Gum series, Andy Stanton back on the road. Andy first toured with the Children’s Book Tour in 2008, visiting over 1000 pupils in Fife and Midlothian! This time around he will be on an epic voyage across the Highlands, Orkney and Shetland.

Natboff! One Million Years of Stupidity

Natboff

We begin 20,000 years ago, where me meet Natboff, in a wife-stealing soap opera, and end 1 million years in the future with the tale of Plover, a talking grape. In-between, twisted tales from through the ages come alive as Andy Stanton’s off-the-wall humour and quick-wit transfers perfectly into this weird whistle-stop tour through time, all perfectly paired with David Tazzyman’s lively illustrations.
