This Scottish Friendly Letterfall Schools Competition is open to all UK residents (including the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man) aged 5 years or over, except anyone directly connected with the competition; employees of Scottish Friendly Assurance Society Limited (Scottish Friendly) or Scottish Book Trust and their affiliates, dealers, distributors, other retail staff and any of the family members of the above entities. Entries submitted by anyone under 16 years must have the consent of an adult (parent/guardian or teacher).
The competition will end at noon on 3rd September 2018.
Scores achieved out with the game period of 11th April 2018 to 3rd September 2018 will not be eligible.
The winners will be the people who have the highest score on the schools leader board at 12pm on 3rd September 2018.
The Promoter will not be responsible for any entries that are not received by it for any reason whether lost, delayed, corrupted or otherwise, and whether or not due to any technical difficulties or malfunctions.
There are three prizes supplied to the three highest scorers on the table and there is no cash alternative. The winning schools will be selected after the closing date based on the final scores. Each winning school will be notified by email or post within 14 days of the prize draw being made, to obtain full details to dispatch the gift.
If a tie occurs within a scoreboard then lots will be drawn to determine a winner.
No purchase is necessary for entry into a Promotion.
Entrants are liable for their costs to access telephone, mobile or computer networks
All Internet connection charges shall be the entrant's responsibility. Responsibility cannot be accepted for entries invalidated by technical problems beyond the control of Scottish Friendly Assurance or problems with accessing the website. No correspondence will be entered into.
Winner's details will be used for administration of the prize and publication of the competition winners as detailed below and may also be required to take part in any promotional activity reasonably requested by Scottish Friendly Assurance.
The winning school and county will be available on the Scottish Friendly Assurance website, social media channels and on request by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org (results available by email for 4 weeks from the date of the competition close). The winning school consent to their name and county being disclosed on the website, social media channels and to other entrants on request.
Prizes will be delivered to the winning school within 6 weeks after the prizes have been won (as determined by the Promoter in their absolute discretion).
At the promoter’s discretion another prize of equivalent or greater value may be substituted if in all reasonable circumstances the promoter is unable to offer the intended prize(s).
Any prize not claimed within 7 days of its winner being notified will be redrawn and awarded to the player/ school with the next highest score.
At the Promoters discretion another prize of equivalent or greater value may be substituted if in all reasonable circumstances the promoter is unable to offer the intended prize(s).
Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash or credit alternative available to prizes.
If the winning school does not respond to the notification of the prize within 14 days, the prize will awarded to the next school on the table.
Only words allowed by Letterfall’s dictionary are accepted. Any dispute over words or spelling will not be entered into.
Scores achieved in Letterfall’s ‘Play for fun’ version do not count towards the schools competition.
The Promoter reserves the right to cease the draws at any time.
It is a condition of entry that the rules of the competition are accepted as final and that entrants agree to abide by the rules.
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter excludes all liability whatsoever to entrants and the winner in relation to the promotion and the prize(s) to be awarded.
The decision of the Promoter will be final in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Promoter retains sole discretion to withhold prizes without liability if in its view a winner is ineligible, the entry is invalid or a winner does not meet the necessary requirements as set out in these terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend the Promotion in the event of unforeseen circumstances or circumstances outside of its control.
